Giuseppe Pivetta

Giuseppe Pivetta was born in Villenouvelle, France to Italian parents in 1938. Pivetta began his artistic training at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Toulouse. He came to Canada in 1957 and received private lessons from artist Albert Chiarandini who noticed the unusual artistic inclination in Pivetta. Pivetta studied at Central Tech under Telford Fenton for painting and Zimmerman for drawing. Pivetta studied with these artists for several years and continued painting with Chiarandini as well. Pivetta attended Chiarandini's classes at Northern Secondary School and followed him at O.C.A. when Chiarandini was called to teach there. Pivetta has been exhibiting since 1972 in various juried and group shows.
